Organisation: Save the Family

The Challenge
Save the Family delivers vital support to families facing homelessness, but like many charities, their social media needed to better communicate the depth of their impact. Content was being shared, but there was an opportunity to strengthen engagement and make the outcomes of their work clearer to supporters.

My Approach
I led on social media content, focusing on storytelling that highlighted real-life impact rather than just service updates. This included creating structured content plans, writing engaging captions, and aligning posts with key campaigns and awareness moments.

I also ensured messaging stayed consistent across platforms, balancing professionalism with a human, relatable tone that reflected the organisation’s values.

The Outcome
The organisation’s social media presence became more consistent, engaging, and impact-led. Content better reflected the lived experiences of the families supported, helping audiences connect more deeply with the cause and understand the difference the organisation makes. I supported with publications to evidence the work done by the charity, as well as supporting with a website redesign and updated copy.

Political & Community Communications

Organisation: Preston Green Party
Focus: Social media management, campaign messaging, community engagement

The Challenge
The local party needed a stronger, more consistent online presence to engage their community, respond to current issues, and communicate their values clearly, particularly around local campaigns and awareness days.

My Approach
I manage ongoing social media and communications, creating timely, relevant content that connects national messaging to local issues in Preston. This includes writing posts for key dates, reacting to current events and ensuring messaging is clear, accessible, and engaging.

I focus on making content feel immediate and relevant, while maintaining a consistent tone that reflects the party’s identity.

The Outcome
Facebook grew by 92%, reaching 40,500 total views and 10,500 individual users
Instagram gained 74%, with 8,800 views and 1,500 accounts reached
TikTok grew from 118% with 11,300 views from a single post, indicating strong growth potential
Bluesky increased by 61%, expanding presence on emerging platforms
Website traffic increased significantly
Average daily website visits increased from 5.6 to 50.6 – over 800% growth
